Biography

Sarah, a native of Tucson, AZ, received her B.S. in Elementary Education at Northern Arizona University and recently completed her graduate studies in Higher Education & Student Affairs Administration at the University of Vermont. Her involvement as a student at all levels has solidified for her the importance of serving students of color, being an advocate and aspiring ally, and promoting social justice.

As a Program Advisor in the Department of Multicultural Services, beginning July 2008, Sarah is eager to engage with the student and staff communities at Texas A&M. In her role in the DMS, Sarah will serve as the advisor to the Hispanic President’s Council, assist in coordinating cultural day trips, coordinate the DMS Tutoring Program, work to enhance and support faculty-student relationships, develop program assessments, and assist in campus-wide programming.
