Biography

Theresa Y. Survillion is a doctoral student in the Higher Education Administration program. She is proud to be the Diversity Education Specialist for the Department of Multicultural Services at Texas A&M University. Her research interests focus on issues related to gender identity and women of color in higher education. Theresa holds a Masters of Science Degree in Student Affairs Administration with certification in College Teaching from Texas A&M University, and she holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English with an emphasis on Professional/Technical Writing from the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA).

Theresa has a women’s studies certification and is a fellow of the TAMU Graduate Teaching Academy. She has worked with the Women’s and Gender Equity Resource Center and the Office of the Vice President for Institutional Assessment and Diversity. She is continues to assist teaching various diversity courses both at the undergraduate and graduate levels
