About the Department of Multicultural Services

The Department of Multicultural Services is a sixteen member staff within the Division of Student Affairs. The Department of Multicultural Services provides multiple support services for current and prospective students from underrepresented populations and diversity education programs that foster inclusive leaning environments for all students. The Department promotes student success through academic support, diversity education, the enhancement of life and leadership, advocacy, and mentoring skills. The Department of Multicultural Services is seeking dynamic applicants to join a progressive team.

Job Responsibilities

  • Maintain department website
  • Test and troubleshoot web page features
  • Help in developing online marketing tools, such as blogs, RSS, online newsletter etc.
  • Design database
  • Provide guidance/consultancy for student organizations’ website as needed
  • Maintain the consistency of online programming
  • Manage the updates of news and events
  • Assist with marketing project as needed

Job Requirements

  • Experience in Adobe Dreamweaver (CS3 is preferred)
  • Must have CSS development experience and basic of Java Script coding
  • Knowledge of MS Office and basic Adobe CS2 (at least Photoshop)
  • Basic knowledge of visual art

Salary/Benefits

  • $11.54/hour, 20 hours a week (~ $1000 a month)
  • Tuition waiver dependent upon field of study and approval
  • Benefit eligible
