ExCEL 2009 Co-Executive Directors
Howdy Aggies!
I am proud to announce that Ms. Tayler Torry and Mr. John Maye, Jr. have been selected to serve as ExCEL Co-Executive Directors for 2009. Both are former freshman participants and have contributed remarkably and respectively to the ExCEL team prior to their appointment. During the past year, Tayler served on the Executive Staff as the Director of Workshops, and John was one of our most outstanding Team Leaders. With their vision, enthusiasm, and contributions in mind, they have been appointed as the chief leaders of the 2009 Executive Staff. The two will coordinate an orientation conference, make presentations, attend receptions, meet with admitted students, partner with other student leaders, serve as a voice for freshman students, assist in securing sponsors, fill gaps when needed, and manage daily ExCEL related tasks.
It has been an honor and a pleasure to work with John and Tayler over the past few months, and I am very excited to have them as the new face of ExCEL. The hats they will wear, roles they will play, and responsibilities they will shoulder over the course of their appointment cannot be predicted or estimated. Considering all this, I am excited about our new leadership, and I look forward to the possibilities of the ExCEL Program in the upcoming year. Please join me in welcoming Tayler and John!
