Leadership Workshops
Workshops allow participants to explore issues of identity, leadership, and community. Specific topics covered will range from the image and perceptions of Asian Americans, to Asian American influential leaders, to Asian vs. American leadership values. Workshops will provide participants with a formal education on the issues impacting themselves and their community.
By Leadership Workshops, IDEAAL Participants will be able to
- Be an active and effective contributor to the Texas A&M community
- Be knowledgeable about Asian American community and leadership issues
- Enhance networking and social skills
- Have a strong sense of cultural identity and self worth
- Be exposed to the Department of Multicultural Services and other campus and community resources
Personal Reflections
Participants will have the opportunity to give immediate feedback upon topics discussed during workshops through personal reflections. Reflections allow the participants to continue processing workshop discussion after the workshop has ended and also to observe their environment in terms of the topics covered in the workshops. Reflections will be reviewed by the program advisor.
