Engagement Collaborations

Student success and helping students achieve their goals are priority for the department.  Through a student integration approach, DMS partners with student groups, colleges and schools, and peer institutions to support Texas A&M University’s mission, plans, and initiatives designed to help students successfully matriculate, persist, and graduate from Texas A&M and demonstrate competencies as outlined by the undergraduate learning outcomes.  Staff foster collaborative relationships across campus to support students as they navigate the rigors of their degree plan, explore involvement opportunities, and develop into the next generation of leaders.  Staff also assist with academic and individual aspirations by providing academic and counseling referrals, making connections, and providing personalized attention.

DMS collaborations contribute to identify and support efforts:

  • To provide meaningful connections to incoming students as they transition to campus life.
  • To impact students’ emotional, mental, and psychological wellbeing and develop personal agency.
  • To grow students’ self-awareness, capacities to work productively in groups, and engage in social interaction with others.
  • To engage internal, external, and potential stakeholders.
